We are always happy to receive CVs and a covering letter if you are interested to join us in the future as a staff co-ordinator in any department. The work of Sunseed Desert Technology is divided into 6 departments that are coordinated by departmental staff members. These staff members work together as a team to ensure the smooth running and development of the project, under the guidance of the Project Manager. If you are interested in working as a co-ordinator at Sunseed, these positions may become available during the year and are advertised on a number of sites as well as our own. To find out your suitability for these posts, check the full volunteer descriptions of each department and also see the General Volunteer description. Posts are for a minimum of 1 year and are renewable after a successful first year. Please note that we can only accept applicants who are eligible to stay in the EU for a year or more, and we cannot help with visa application processes.
Sunseed is recruiting for the following co-ordinator positions:
WE ARE SEARCHING FOR:
- A ECO-CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT.
- SUSTAINABLE LIVING ASSISTANT
For general description:
Find out more about being an assistant on this page. Conditions of Volunteering for assistant co-ordinators include full board (vegetarian meals) and accommodation in Sunseed houses in Los Molinos. The minimum contract is usually 3 months, with the first month as a trial period. After 3 months, there is a chance for both parties to reaffirm the agreement, if an assistant is still needed. Normal working hours are 35 hours/week, but living on the project involves a commitment that extends far beyond the working day and can include anything from rodding blocked pipes to digging out the irrigation line. You will be entitled to 2 days holiday per month worked plus Spanish bank holidays. EU-resident visitors to the Project are asked to bring an authorised E111 form or equivalent, obtainable from any Post Office, to cover possible local medical attention, and to have up-to-date tetanus jabs. Staff may, if they so wish, obtain additional medical and travel insurance to cover their stay at Sunseed. For information about the departments, please see Our departments in the menu above. FOR ALL POSTS please email us stating which post you are interested in and attach a covering letter along with your CV. Thank you.
