Coordinator position
The administration coordinator organises the running of Sunseed in operational and financial ways. The department is responsible for the accounting and finances, but also for creative action on how to keep the project running long-term. The coordinator is the main person of contact to answer enquiries regarding finances as well as managing the project as an association.
It is required that you bring your own laptop and phone to the project.
Core Responsibilities

Maintain constant communication between on-site staff, advisors and external managers (lawyers, notaries, etc.).

Do the internal accounts at least once a month with the collaboration of the coordinators and other members of the community.

Manage the payments of residents, interns, visitors, ESCs and any other movement of money in the community. Ensure that it is properly accounted for.

Produce quarterly reviews and last year's financial review to keep the community informed of the financial situation.

Developing creative action on fundraising opportunities, crowdfunding campaigns, generating income

Manage legal documents, including insurance, taxes, deeds, local facilities, contracts and agreements, etc.

Dealing with Sunseed's legal responsibilities to the UK and Spanish state.

Keeping up to date with Sunseed's land arrangements and agreements.

Forecast income and review expenditure to identify areas where more resources are needed. Make a forecast at the beginning of the year to guide the financial situation for the year.

Make invoice/ticket payments to both suppliers and sunseed staff when they pay out of pocket.

Create working systems (Trello and Notion) and be willing to teach the community administrative tasks.

Regularly update work systems and administration folders to ensure both efficiency and transparency of processes.
Requirements

Familiar with Spanish law or easy to learn

Experience in accounting and finance management

Good communication skills (including the ability to work as part of a closely integrated team), confidence, sensitivity, patience and open-mindedness to work with all members of the group

Ability to live in a basic communal environment with limited resources and the desire to live and work closely with community members

Committed to be an equal amongst the members of the team

Learning about the experience in Sunseed and getting familiar with its challenges

Commitment to promoting sustainable living and the aim of Sunseed
-
Previous knowledge of NGO administration (desired)

An understanding of organisational structures, particularly sociocratic organisations (desired)

Ability to lead and motivate assistants, interns, ESC's and co-learning residents, who range from those with a wealth of experience to those with little or none
