Years of wind and rain have weathered away the cover of our beautiful Domo tent where we hold meetings, workshops and sharing circles. After more than ten years we have finally decided a change is needed!

Ian and Sarah, friends of the project who came all the way from Scotland for this, restored this important space by replacing the cover textile. They designed a prototype based on a balloon structure and build small models to calculate the different textile pieces and how they must be put together. Then they ordered the big textile roll and cut out each piece in its shape.
Now for the most exciting part: Ian and Sarah used the ancient hand-operated sewing machine of Sunseed to carefully sew each single part of the cover together. This took many hours and a steady hand and we are very impressed by their efforts.
A huge thanks goes to them for all their work that they kindly gifted to our community!
The community then helped to put up the new cover and decorate the inside making it more beautiful than ever. We are so grateful to experience this wonderful space in its fresh form. The tent keeps the warmth in for cold winter day meetings and protects us from wind and rain. When the sun shines outside you can see the shadows of the trees inside the tent dancing away on the textiles.
